As Peter, your goal is to complete a variety of experiments to help the Emily-May Foundation. While Spider-Man 2’s combat is more fluid than ever, it still fell short of Insomniac’s earlier expectations for the game. That covers the entire Spider-Man 2 cast and voice actors involved in creating the game.
Spider-man 2 – All Bosses In The Game
He was the voice of Birgir in God of War Ragnarok, and he was also the voice of Captain Benjamin Mathius in the Dead Space Remake. Perhaps most famous of all though, he played the role of Sergei in Friends as a comical date for Phoebe in one episode. Additionally, one of the biggest advantages of the PC release is the ability to download mods, which can significantly expand and enhance gameplay. Mods can range from quality-of-life improvements to entirely new mechanics or visual overhauls.
Into The Spider-verse Suit
Join Peter Parker and Miles Morales on an adventure throughout New York as they team up fully for the first time, and confront a dangerous hunter storming the city with an even more terrifying threat looming on the horizon. Insomniac Games brings yet another thrilling installment into their critically acclaimed and beloved Spider-Man franchise with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. IGN’s Spider-Man 2 walkthrough and guide features a complete map, a walkthrough, all colelctibles and much, much more. This guide was specially crafted for the PS5 version of Spider-Man 2 and also applies to the 2025 PC version. The majority of the side activities wind up feeling both mechanically and narratively pointless. An electric bike race feels silly enough in a Spider-Man game, but when the stakes are just “I need someone to try out my electric bike”, it’s hard not to think Miles and Peter have more pressing stuff to be getting on with.
The gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple play styles offered by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men. The game expands on their existing traversal and combat abilities, including new web-based gadgets and suits that can be unlocked through progressing in the story. It also introduces the former Spider-Man’s symbiote suit, granting Parker unique abilities from his previous playable appearance. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a continuation of our Peter Parker and Miles Morales story featuring iconic foes such as Venom and Kraven, as well as many returning favorites. We introduced all-new abilities and traversal options such as Symbiote Surge and Web Wings, and we’ve also expanded Marvel’s New York with new boroughs and side missions to explore.
The plot points are outlandish, the themes muddy, and Miles doesn’t really have enough to do. None of that’s necessarily a dealbreaker, though—the real problem is the characters. Though not wildly different mechanically (they’re separated mostly by a different set of combat powers), the two do feel impressively different, largely thanks to top notch animation work and a commendable attention to detail. How much this dual protagonist feature actually adds to the game is a little questionable I think, but the execution is undeniably slick. You swing freely around New York, taking on whatever missions and activities you choose.
But the combat isn’t the star of the show here; it’s the story, which is a beautiful, character-driven tale that gets surprisingly emotional on multiple occasions. If you haven’t played it, you’re missing out on one of the best superhero stories released in any medium in years. In Spider-Man 2 you play as two characters, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, known from the previous two games.
It’s also the start of one of the new side-story villain threads that are optional, and while those don’t offer anything overly new in terms of gameplay, they do add valuable extra scraps of story. They flesh out these villains, allowing fully formed characters to emerge where once they were merely one-and-done boss battle appearances. A new personal favourite gadget called the Web Grabber – which pulls enemies in from a distance and makes them smack into one another – also playfully builds into this philosophy. I had a lot of fun using this before landing a sharp burst of Miles’ Venom lightning onto grouped-up goons, and now Peter can get in on that fun as well. They’re just as enjoyable, as it feels like the suit is trying to burst out of the rumbling DualSense controller in my hands. https://g28.autos/ of play is rewarded, as the only way to heal is by building up your focus bar – filled by landing hits and timing perfect dodges – and is another way to make sure that exciting rhythm of combat is never lost.
On the surface, it’s another thrilling superhero story packed full of surprises, cameos, and Easter eggs – but there are deeper meanings to be found here, too. There are also smaller stories at play, though, ones that may seem less important when compared to city-wide chaos, but feel like potential world-enders to those who inhabit it. Both Spider-Men tackle the most extreme examples of trying to manage a work/life balance you can imagine, exploring a range of personal issues including strained relationships and loss that plague us as humans, no matter how superpowered we may feel.
